On the 28th–29th of October Steph Johnstone from She Made This attended the first NZ “Justice Conference” and as part of it she went on a simulated “Experience” of being trafficked.

The “E” on her hand was symbolic of the tattoos a pimp puts on his “girls” usually on their chest or face!

Given only 1% of girls trafficked gets rescued. It’s time to stand up and make a difference. If you want to know more about groups that work in this arena to find out more I’m happy to point you in the right direction. There’s all sorts of volunteer work and organisations out there plus choosing to buy of ethical companies makes a stand too. So do ask companies when you’re buying stuff. If we don’t ask. Things won’t change. Let’s improve on that appalling 1% stat!
